Our clients are a global engineering consultancy, service and solution provider, supporting clients in the gas and oil industries.
The job:
We are looking for a Senior Pressure Equipment Engineer to work on major projects in the Oil & Gas Upstream Sector. Responsibilities will include:
• Design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant regulations • Stress analysis of pressure equipment • Maintaining good communications with clients and designers • Preparing bids in response to tenders. • Assisting plant personnel to solve materials and corrosion related problems including issues such as Failure Analysis, Finite Element Analysis, Piping and Pressure Vessel Integrity Assessments, Inspection Programmes and Weld Repair Procedures.
Qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related subject (Chartered status highly desirable) • Proven ability as a specialist engineer on projects in the Oil & Gas Upstream Sector • Be conversant with codes of practice, standards and statutory regulations such as: * API – 510, 570, 571, 579, 580 and 653 * ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel and ASME B31 Piping Codes • Experience in problem solving with regard to inspection, assessment, repair and life extension of plant fixed equipment in the refining or chemical plant industry.
